A new Raptor Chapter
facility will be constructed on the Indiana-Purdue University campus at
Fort Wayne, Indiana.
One of the country's most extensive collections of live birds of prey
will be housed here for viewing by the public.
Targeted opening date is late 2001.
This facility
will provide:
- A site
for school groups and the public to visit
- Teacher
workshops on raptors and the environment
- Rehabilitation
workshops and coordination for the region
- An Avian
Biology curriculum at IPFW
- Internship
program for veterinary and wildlife biology
- An efficient
medical facility
